Our story
Built from community.
Daughters of the Nile CIC was founded by Réna Ntaganzwa, Edelquine Wanjiru and Rita Ntaganzwa; three women who shared a conviction that creativity, culture and community care are not luxuries. They are necessities.
We met at the intersection of art, wellbeing and cultural identity. We saw the gap: community spaces that were supposedly for everyone but in practice reflected the experiences of very few. We decided to build something different.
Daughters of the Nile CIC is our answer. Community led, trauma-informed, rooted in the cultures, knowledge and lived experience of the people we serve. Based in North-West London. In-person and online. Open to everyone. Built for those who have too often been told otherwise.
Our Vision
We envision a future where all communities, regardless of background, identity, ability, age or income, have access to inclusive spaces that support wellbeing, creativity, belonging and emotional safety.
Our long-term goal is to build sustainable community programmes, workshops, partnerships, creative initiatives that continue to uplift and connect people across London and beyond.
Our Mission
Daughters of the Nile creates inclusive, community-led spaces where creativity, culture and connection come together. Through shared experiences, workshops, storytelling, artistic expression and exhibitions, we bring people together to explore identity, build relationships, strengthen wellbeing and foster a deeper sense of belonging.
Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for participation, reflection, cultural exchange that leave a lasting positive impact on individuals and communities.

Why This Work Matters
Many people continue to face barriers when accessing wellbeing, community spaces that feel inclusive, culturally relevant and emotionally safe.
At Daughters of the Nile CIC, we are committed to creating environments that encourage connection, reduce isolation, support self-expression and strengthen community wellbeing.
As a Community Interest Company, all surplus income is reinvested directly back into community programmes, accessible opportunities and future initiatives that support the people and communities we serve.

We exist to serve communities that have historically faced barriers to accessing appropriate wellbeing support.
Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are therefore not add-ons to our work. They are foundational to our mission and identity as an organisation.

Réna Ntaganzwa
Recording artist, music producer/composer and singer-songwriter with a background in law and operations, passionate about healing through creativity, voice and emotional expression.
Founder
EdelQuine Wanjiru
Edelquine is a painting artist, creative director, & multidisciplinary designer leading arts workshops rooted in community. Her work sits at the intersection of design, wellbeing, nature, and communityimpact.

Fashion stylist with a background in finance, focused on structure, opportunity and creative community building.
